NPP to lose 760k votes as aggrieved widows vow to vote them out

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to lose about 760,000 votes in the coming elections as widows vow to vote against them.

As the 2020 elections draw near every political party is making their best to capture all the votes they can but it seems the NPP will lose the vote of 760,000 widows.

Speaking to Daily News Ghana some aggrieved widows has vowed to vote against the NPP government over withheld investment.

“I deposited my money there so that I could be doing withdrawals little by little to take care of my children. I have been evicted with my children from the house we used to live in. I can’t pay house rent. My husband died leaving me with the children to take care of. The money has been locked up for [two] years, accumulating interest. They don’t want to give me my money. There is no work to do,” one widower told Daily News Ghana.

Angry customers of the Gold Coast Fund Management heaped blame on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for a decision that has caused their investments to be locked away from 2018 to date.
