17k names now missing from voter register – Dr. Serebour reveals

The Director of Electoral Service at the Electoral Commission (EC) Dr. Serebour Quaico, has revealed that 17,00 names of the voters across the country are missing on the news electoral register as of the close of Friday, September 25, 2020. 3news report.

Dr. Quaicoe said on The Key Point program on TV3 Saturday, September 26, 2020, that the EC is working to address all the anomalies on the new register.

“I want to also put on record when I left the office yesterday, Friday, September 25 at the national level we are left with 17,000 missing names. So the whole country we are now around 17,000”, he told the host Abena Tabi.

The main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has raised concerns that the names of its members are missing on the electoral roll for the 2020 elections.

According to Dr. Quaicoe, the EC will resolve all the issues before the election on December 7, 2020.
