2022 Budget: Ghanaians react as parliament reduces e-levy to 1.5%

The 2021 budget which was presented by the Finance Minister, Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta on Wednesday has been approved by Parliament

According to reports, the Finance Minister reinforced a revised version of the 2022 budget to the parliament and the Majority MP’s and the Speaker has approved it

Meanwhile, the budget was rejected by the Minority members when the Majority members walked out of the Parliament because of some misunderstanding

The budget has been approved today, without the presence of the minority members in the chamber

The 1.75% E-levy that was placed on Electronic transactions has now been reduced to 1.5%

The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu, and the 138 Majority members approved the 2022 budget after the revised version was presented
