Information reaching Daily News Ghana indicate that six young footballers of a juvenile club from the Ashanti Region have died in an accident.
According to our reporter, 36 young footballers from a juvenile club were on their way to Afrancho for player registration.
Daily News Ghana Reporter added that six died at the spot with four in critical condition at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Speaking to Daily News Ghana reporter the Police Motor Trafic and Transport department commander, DSP Edmound Nyamekye said the driver of the vehicle lost control and landed in the Ofin River.
The report added that the children were between the ages of 12 and 15 and the identity of the victims is yet to be disclosed.
