The driver of the late Dancehall diva Ebony Reigns Okoh Pinehas Chartey who was driving her the day of the accident faces court after three years.
Speaking in an interview with Abena Ampofo on Radio 1 the father of the late Ebony Nana Opoku Kwarteng popularly known as Starboy Kwarteng said he is disappointed in the Police Investigation team in Mankraso.
“My daughter died three years ago in an incident which according to them there was a said driver who was driving Nana Hemaa. After all this year’s nothing was done to him just to wake up one day and hear the Police Investigation team in Mankraso saying the driver was not having a license as at that time.”
“So they are now taking him to court for not having a license, really, all these years they couldn’t find out he was not having a license. I don’t know who is trying to cover what.”
“I smell something fishy and this is clear evidence that my dear daughter was gruesomely murdered and that’s said,” he told the host Abena Ampofo.
The explosive artist Ebony was involved in an accident at Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South district of Ashanti Region which claimed two others.
The Mankranso police confirmed the tragic news and said the accident involved a Jeep she was traveling on and a VIP bus.
Ebony was born on 16th February 1997 and was only a week shy of her 21st birthday.
Ebony had been tipped to sweep the best and topmost laurels on offer at any local awards following the many hits she has churned out in her short but enterprising career.
