Black Stars youngster Issahaku meets C Ronaldo’s mom ahead of Group Stage match

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, a fast-rising Ghanaian prodigy, met Maria Dolores Dos Santos Aveiro, Cristiano Ronaldo’s biological mother, and five-time Ballon D’Or winner, in Lisbon last Friday.

After overcoming sworn enemies and neighbors Nigeria in the playoff round, the 18-year-old was part of the Black Stars group that qualified for their fourth World Cup.

The former Dreams FC hero had the incredible opportunity to start both legs against the Super Eagles in Kumasi and Abuja, but he was unable to complete the game.

Fatawu Issahaku, Africa’s greatest U20 player, flew back to Portugal to rejoin the Sporting Lisbon U23 team, but not before having the incredible opportunity to meet Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, with whom he posed for a photo.

Madam Maria Dolores Dos Santos Aveiro is a passionate supporter of the Green and Whites and has been to many of their games, including the round 16 first leg of the UEFA Champions League versus Manchester City at the Estadio José Alvalade.
