Kumasi Asante Kotoko has sacked head coach Maxwell Konadu.
This decision merges after their 1-0 defeat to Accra Great Olympics on Thursday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium in an outstanding game.
Konadu has come under intense pressure following their poor start of the season.
The Porcupine Warriors have recorded just a win after four matches played in the ongoing Ghana Premier Lague.
Kotoko has won one, losing one, and drawing two in four outings.
A club statement reads, “Management of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club wishes to inform the general public that it has decided to part ways with Coach Maxwell Konadu as its Head Coach with immediate effect.
“Coach Johnson Smith has been appointed to lead the team in the interim.”
Maxwell Konadu replaced Kjetil Zachariassen two seasons ago.
