Election 2020: Police arrest man for taking photo of ballot paper

Police at Bawku West district in the Upper East Region have arrested a man believed to have taken a photo of his ballot paper after voting in the Zebilla Constituency.

The accused person took a photo of his Presidential vote for reasons yet unknown and was spotted.

The suspect is currently behind bars pending investigation.

Polls have opened in many centers across Ghana as voters elect a new president and 275 members of parliament.

Over 17 million voters are expected to partake in today’s voting.

Over 33,000 polling stations have been dedicated to the presidential and parliamentary polls.

This is Ghana’s eighth election since the return of multiparty democracy in 1992.
