Face me and stop hiding behind thugs – Owusu Bempah challenges Sammy Gyamfi


Founder and leader of Glorious Word and Power Ministry, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah has called for open fight between him and the National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi.

Tell disrespectful and unwise Sammy Gyamfi to meet me for  a bout anytime if he thinks he has the wherewithal to win against me”, the controversial preacher fumed in an interview MyNewsGh.commonitored on Kumasi-based Otec FM morning show.

Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi is offering to buy a huge cow for the bodyguard of former President John Mahama who attacked Prophet Owusu-Bempah at a church over the weekend with explaination that the conduct of the bodyguard was justified due to the unprovoked vitriolic attacks launched by the man of God on Mr Mahama.

“Stop hiding behind thugs and face me. You bring it on I will allow my boys to teach you  lesson next time you pass comment against me Rev. Owusu Bempah”, he told host Agya Owusu Ansah.

Prophet Owusu-Bempah was violently prevented from exchanging pleasantries with the former President at the Holy Ghost Revival Center of the Assemblies of God Church, South Odorkor, Accra where both were invited to grace its 30th anniversary.

The bodyguards stopped the man of God from shaking Mr Mahama for repeatedly hounding him out of office.

In support, Mr Gyamfi on Asempa FM’s “Ekosii Sen”programme , Monday said the bodyguards were right to prevent Rev. Owusu-Bempah from getting close to Mr Mahama.

He explained that, it was not easy to shake hands with someone who had accused you of murdering a sitting president without evidence.

Mr Gyamfi commended Mr Mahama for meeting the man who had accused him of committing crimes over the years.

“The patience, tolerance and temperament former President Mahama demonstrated are expensive virtues that only consummate democrats and gentlemen like him can exhibit,” the NDC man opined.
