Reports we are gathering says two journalists who reported a secret lesbian wedding at Kwahu-Obomeng in the Eastern region of Ghana were abducted and beaten by thugs.
Their report informed the police of the location of the wedding where they arrested the couple plus some 22 people present at the event.
After a successful arrest by the police, a female reporter disclosed that two male colleagues were kidnapped and locked in a room when they returned to gather more updates from the wedding grounds.
“Dwanena and Teacher Anointing have been locked up. I managed to escape their attack. A driver who saw me quickly picked me up and we have reported the issue to the police. As I speak I don’t know what has happened to them.”
Okwahuhemaa Piesie Afia Pokua added that she narrowly escaped the attacks but her colleagues were not fortunate and were mobbed.
“The moment they saw us approaching they rushed on us shouting that we caused their arrest. They even took the phone of the reporters and smashed it with a stone,” she narrated.
Videos and photos of the assault were shared on social media by an unknown account believed to belong to the LGBTQI community.
