Fraud boy murders girlfriend for rituals; Dumps her body behind her mother’s shop

Shakirat, a 22-year-old Nigerian woman, was murdered by her sakawa boyfriend in Osun State.

According to sources, the victim’s body was discovered abandoned at the back of her mother’s shop in Oke-Oore, where it is believed the sakawa boyfriend placed it on purpose.

Shakirat had been missing since Wednesday, March 9, according to the source, leaving her family befuddled.

According to reports, one of the deceased’s family members who talked with the media said:

“She was last seen Wednesday afternoon, and when she did not return in the evening, her family became concerned,” says the report.

“On Thursday morning, her body was discovered behind her mother’s shop. Later, some police officers arrived and took the body away. We later learned that they had taken her to the Iwo General Hospital morgue.”

Yemisi Opalola, a spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, confirmed the occurrence and said police had begun an investigation into the incident.

The command wanted an autopsy on the body, but “the family insisted on burial her,” according to Opalola. “We have released the corpse to the family.”
