PHOTOS: Fuel tanker catches fire on Accra-Kumasi highway at Nsutam

On the Accra-Kumasi Highway (N6) at Paradise Rest Stop, a loaded fuel tanker caught fire.

The Kyebi Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) has closed the roadway in both directions from Osino and at the Nsutam Custom Barrier to prevent casualties.

At the moment, personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and the Accident Prevention Squad (APS) traffic are attempting to put out the fire.

At Nsutam, on the Accra-Kumasi route, a fuel tanker catches fire.

According to the Police Department’s Facebook page post, no casualties have been reported.

Meanwhile, the police have urged all approaching cars from Accra and Kumasi to be patient and follow traffic instructions given by authorities on the spot.

Further updates will be provided “in due course,” according to the police.
