Ghana interim coach Otto Addo cites bad luck for Black Stars AFCON 2021 fiasco

Ghana interim coach Otto Addo attributed the Black Stars’ dismal performance in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon on bad luck.

After exiting the competition in the group stage for the first time in 2006, the Black Stars had their worst AFCON result ever. After failing to win a single game in group C, Ghana was eliminated.

Following the squad’s dismal performance, the Ghana FA disbanded the Black Stars’ technical team, which was led by Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac.
