The National Sports Authority (NSA), on behalf of the government, has launched a short code through which supporters can purchase tickets for the next 2022 World Cup qualification match between Ghana and Nigeria in Kumasi.
The first leg will be held in the 40,000-seat Baba Yara Stadium, and the government is taking precautions to avoid crowds at the gates on matchday by instituting an e-ticketing network that will allow supporters to purchase tickets ahead of time.
The USSD short code (*711#) will be activated on Monday, March 21, 2022, and will function on all networks.
The shortcode allows fans to pay for tickets using Mobile Money, after which they will receive a unique code that they must provide on game day to gain admission to the stadium.
The game will take place on March 25, 2022, at 19:30 GMT.
One of Africa’s five qualification berths for this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar in November 2022 will be secured if they win both matches.
