Ghana vs Nigeria: Two goalkeepers dropped from Black Stars squad for World Cup play-off

Goalkeepers Ibrahim Danlad and Richard Attah of Asante Kotoko SC and Hearts of Oak have been left out of Ghana’s roster for the 2018 World Cup play-off.

The duo will not be part of the Black Stars side that will face Nigeria later this month, according to our report.

Otto Addo, the interim head coach, is scheduled to announce his lineup for the doubleheader matches next week.

Goalkeepers for the play-off will be Swindon Town’s Joseph Wollacott, Richard Ofori, and Belgium’s Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, according to the German coach.

This season, Ibrahim and Attah have been superb in the Ghana Premier League, and fans expected at least one of them to represent Ghana against the Super Eagles.

On Friday, March 25, 2022, the Black Stars face Nigeria in the opening leg of the important encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Nigeria will host the second leg at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja four days later.
