This decision comes after an evaluation by newly appointed mentor Zaheer Khan and head coach Justin Langer, which revealed that LSG has lost nearly all matches in which Rahul batted for an extended period and scored runs.

“The LSG management, including mentor Zaheer Khan and coach Justin Langer, has reviewed his stats and found that the team has lost most of the matches where KL batted for long periods,” a source close to the situation told the publication.
