N/R: Six in critical condition after NPP and NDC bloody clash

News reaching Daily News Ghana indicates that six in critical condition as a bloody clash between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Karaga constituency in the Northern Region.

According to the report, NDC held a rally at Sung which is believed to be an NPP stronghold and as usual in the Northern Region, motor riders were on with their displays.

An eye witness told Daily News Ghana that the misunderstanding started when a moto rider rode into a building believed the house of some NPP supporters.

“So one of the guys came in a machete and asked the rider why he rode into them and started butchering themself and six got injured,” the eye witness told Daily News Ghana.

He added that the victims are currently admitted at the Karaga hospital after the six sustained various degrees of machete wounds.

ASP Thomas Tulasi of the Karaga Police Command said no arrest has been made yet as serious investigations are underway.
