NDC will form the majority in the next parliament – Sam George

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Samuel Dzata George has said that the NDC will form the majority in the next parliament.

The minority in parliament let by Minority Leader in Parliament, Harina Iddrisu, and the Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, matched from Parliament to Electoral Commission (EC) head office to submit a petition but was prevented by the police.

The EC said, it was not properly notified about the Minority in Parliament’s decision to present a petition at its headquarters on Tuesday.

Speaking in a phone interview on Neat FM, Sam George said: “since when did the EC become this superior that we need permission before summiting a petition? we don’t need their permission to summit petition.”

“The disrespect she has shown to us we will deal with her in the same manner if the next parliament because in the next parliament the NDC will form the majority do not forget that. We will form the majority with 138 seats,” he stated.

He added that the same thing will be applied to the Minister of Interior and the police service.

According to the Minority in Parliament, former President Mahama as well as some of their parliamentary aspirants are being cheated on their win by the EC.

As a result, they wanted to present a petition to the EC chair to right the wrongs in the recently conducted elections.
