Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu has warned politicians especially the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama to desist from dragging his office into partisan politics.
Martin Amidu’s caution comes on the back of a statement made by John Mahama while campaigning to the effect that he would not interfere in the work of the Special Prosecutor if re-elected as President in the December 7 polls.
Martin Amaidu responding to the statement said the office of the Special Prosecutor Act, 2017 (Act 959) does not allow for any interference in the duties of the Special Prosecutor hence such promise by John Dramani Mahama is needless.
