Jordan Opoku, a former Asante Kotoko midfielder, has expressed his desire to coach his old club, Asante Kotoko, or any other local football club in Ghana.
Jordan stated on SVTV Africa that as a retiree, he intends to put his football expertise and experience as a coach to good use.
“I’d like to coach Kotoko and even all of Ghana’s main teams, such as Ashgold, Kotoko, and Hearts.” It makes no difference which team you are on. “It’s a job,” Jordan explained, “and I have to deliver on the field.”
In response to the question of whether he has any formal coaching training, Jordon said no. Formal training without experience, he argues, is impossible.
“I believe I need to have more practical expertise,” he stated, “so that when I’m on the field, I’ll know what to teach the players.”
Jordan also stated that he intends to contact with Asante Kotoko’s management staff for a commemorative match to mark his retirement.
