Delali Mispa, a mixologist, has stated that her goal of becoming an actor was cut short because a film director wanted to have sex with her for a role.
She told SVTV Africa that while on-set, a director made an overt request for sex. He gave her and requested her to meet her at a hotel later, according to Mispa.
“I had a penchant for acting, and my actor pals would occasionally contact me if they needed extras.” As time passed, I became aware of something I didn’t like: directors telling me that if I wanted to be a star, I needed to sleep with them. “I’ve heard a lot of cruel things,” she told DJ Nyaami, the show’s host.
“Before we got on set, he offered me a handshake, and I discovered he put something in my palm,” she said, adding that a director told her to prepare for a scene. It turned out to be a condom. When I inquired about it, he told me to retain it and meet him at a hotel after the session.”
After Mispa declined the sex offer, the director gave the tiny position to someone else, according to Mispa. In addition, another director invited her to a movie theater and wanted sex in exchange for a movie role.
The director reminded her that most movie stars, including Jackie Appiah, did the same when they were rejected.
