Janet Korley, a middle-aged woman who visited Lebanon in the mid-1990s, has told her experience about how terribly Ghanaians treated her in Lebanon.

Madam Janet told SVTV Africa that she grabbed what she believed was a great opportunity to gain money but ended up in a bind in Lebanon, an Asian country.

Janet spent over two years in Lebanon, including eight months with a Lebanese family during which her passport was stolen and she was not paid until the fifth month. Madam Janet described her life as slave-like in the household. She was raped several times by her helper after escaping with the help of a Ghanaian.

Janet Korley, a middle-aged woman who visited Lebanon in the mid-’90s, has told her account about how terribly Ghanaians treated her in Lebanon.

Madam Janet revealed in an interview with SVTV Africa that she jumped at what she believed was a great opportunity to make money but got up in a pickle in Lebanon, an Asian country.

Janet spent more than two years in Lebanon, including eight months with a Lebanese family during which her passport was stolen and she did not receive payment until the fifth month. Madam Janet characterized her life as “slave-like” in the household. She was raped multiple times by her assistant after escaping with the aid of a Ghanaian.

“I became the talk of the town, and I felt concerned, so I awoke one night, stripped down to my underwear, and furiously prayed about it.” Madam Janet informed DJ Nyaami, “I later heard the couple who accused me had been detained.”
