WATCH: Meet the Ghanaian king with 12 children and still counting

Thompson Azagba, the Chief of Mankrado, has stated that because Mankrado does not have a school, students must travel many kilometers to attend school.

Regardless of the town’s size, a school would be welcome to alleviate the strain of having to travel large distances for education.

“We don’t have a school,” Mr Azagba explained, “therefore we would love one.” The nearest school, Baware and the, is in the next town. Every day, the children must walk there. Our roads are likewise in horrible shape. A road connects here to Koforidua, however, it is still under construction.

Mankrado is located in the Eastern region’s Akuapem North District. Baware is the closest town to it. Mankrado is a small town where farmers and tradesmen make up the majority of the population.

“We also need fertilisers since we are a farming community,” he continued.

Chief Azagba is a farmer, and in 2020, he was named the finest farmer in the Okri district. The 65-year-old is the father of twelve children.
