Watch Video: NPP reacts to video of Akufo-Addo reportedly taking; accuses NDC of peddling falsehood

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reacted to a video of the President allegedly taking a bribe and they are accusing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of peddling falsehood ahead of the 2020 election.

Speaking at a press conference, Minister for Inner City and Zongo development Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid said that the NDC is deliberately peddling falsehood to win the election.

“NDC has started throwing in doctored video, manufactured and concocted document all in a vain attempt to throw dust into the eyes of the Ghanaian people and to create doubt in the minds of the people about NPP,” he said.

He added that the NDC is doing all this to revive their dead campaign “but no amount of fake news can revive a dead campaign.”

President Akufo-Addo in a video going viral is seen receiving a $40,000 bribe from 2 visitors who came to his office. (Watch HERE.)
