Ghanaians are baffled as to why the Saints ace is being courted despite the fact that he has declined previous offers.
Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu has come under fire from Ghana fans after a video showing him and Ghana Football Association head Kurt Okraku meeting in Europe to persuade a number of players to represent the Black Stars at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar appeared online.
With Okraku attempting to persuade foreign-born talents with Ghanaian roots to switch nationalities, it’s thought he sought to persuade Ghana-born Salisu to switch countries after the 23-year-old rejected down call-ups to the Black Stars, claiming he needed more time to think about it.
