World Cup playoff: Edmund Addo, Wollacot, four others arrive in Ghana

Ghanaian goalkeeper Joseph Wollacot has arrived in Ghana ahead of Friday’s match against Nigeria.

The Swindon Town goalkeeper arrived in Accra alongside five other players. They’ve qualified for the World Cup playoffs in 2022, where they’ll face Nigeria.

Hearts of Oak defender Dennis Korsah, Sheriff Tiraspol’s Edmund Addo, Reading FC’s Andy Yiadom, Celta Vigo’s Joseph Aidoo, and Yaw Yeboah are among the newcomers to the Black Stars camp.

Meanwhile, with only four days till the showdown at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Black Stars coach Otto Addo is yet to choose his squad for the tense matches.

The Black Stars will begin camping on Monday in preparation for the upcoming match, with the majority of the invited players expected to arrive on Sunday evening.

The team will travel to Kumasi to complete their preparations for the first leg encounter, which will take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, March 25, 2022.
